My first office job was for a start-up in a small room with 4 little desks and no windows. I was desperate to have one job instead of three so I took the opportunity with an anonymous company not having any idea what I would be doing. Well, it worked and for over 25 years I worked in risk management. Eventually, I found a place that saw my value and invited me to invest.

We grew from 25 people to 120 people with multiple locations. Mostly I loved it. Growing quickly has its challenges and not all days are easy. It did allow me to try a lot of things within the business. We bought, we sold, we played musical desks. We made mistakes, fixed them, and made more. Such is the life of a business owner. Through my professional journey, I worked with many businesses helping them protect their investments. I watched many businesses grow and shrink from a unique perspective of risk management. I was also the lead of operations and involved in all facets of our brokerage business.
